There used to be a rule in network marketing called – the 3 foot rule.
I am sure many of you have heard of it. And probably many more have been tormented by it.
The rule came from very aggressive MLM marketers. In essence it said that you should promote your
product to anyone within a 3 foot radius of you.
While this did sell products, it also made most of your friends and family hide when they knew you were coming around.
Well, the new 3 foot rule is this.
Whenever I am out wearing my pendant or using the disk or laser, most people within 3 feet of me tell me how nice the pendant looks or ask what I am doing with the disk or laser.
They ask me for information. They want to know about the product.
When it first happened I thought I was dreaming.
I always felt strange about “selling”. Which in my mind was getting someone to buy something they did not want. But now people were asking me to explain the products to them.
I still am careful about not “selling”. But I am finding as I explain the products I am being asked more questions.
I am not selling I am simply providing answers to questions.
My new consultants or retail customers are BUYING from me. Not being sold.
Have fun.
